TENS OF TOUSANDS OF BURUNDIANS RETURNED TO JESUS - Post by my best friend Daniel Kolenda on June 8th, 2014

 More than a third of the population of people of Bunjumbura, capita city of Burundi was at the meeting.

Read this message from our friend Daniel Kolenda:

Dear Mission Partners,

We’ve just returned from the State House where the President of Burundi lives with his family. Our team was invited to be their special guests after tonight’s Gospel meeting. We had another full service. There was wonderful worship, I preached a Gospel message, gave an invitation for salvation, and we prayed for the President and his top government officials who were all present. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before. They truly fear the Lord and desire to serve Him.

Tonight’s final meeting, of this Gospel Crusade, was an amazing success. The only difficulty that we had was the size of the crowd. There were so many people that were pressed onto that field. I was concerned, at certain points, that someone would suffocate. We removed the barriers so that the people could fill all the available space in front of the platform. As you can see from the pictures, the platform looked like a raft floating on an ocean of humanity!

More than a third of the population of the city of Bujumbura, the capital, was at the meeting tonight. Tens of thousands of people responded to the Gospel. Deaf ears opened, cripples walked, and many other miracles took place.

The last time that Christ for all Nations was in Burundi for a crusade was 25 years ago. Today there is a whole new generation, and most of the hundreds of thousands that attended this week’s meetings were young people who have now had a life-changing encounter with Jesus. The bishop sitting next to me on the platform told me that all three of his children were filled with the Holy Spirit last night. He said that they were so drunk in the Spirit that they had to be carried off the field. So many young people were saved, healed, delivered and baptized in the Holy Spirit this week that it’s hard to even imagine how the future will be affected. History has been made here! The future of Burundi is very bright.

Today is my birthday, and I could not think of a more wonderful gift than the privilege of sharing the love of God through Jesus Christ. Thank you for standing with us, shoulder-to-shoulder, in this historic harvest of souls. Now our hearts and prayers move to Rwanda where we will be in a few weeks for another Gospel Campaign. Please pray for us as we make final preparations for another massive harvest here in Africa.

KENYA: PASTOR IMPREGNATE HIS 15 YEARS OLD DAUGHTER

Daughter - Dad said ‘Holy Spirit’ led him to have sex with me 

Peter Kyengo, the Njiru pastor who allegedly defiled and impregnated his 15-year-old daughter, has been arrested. His story featured in the last edition of The Nairobian. We revealed how furious Nairobians tried to set him ablaze for allegedly forcing his daughter to procure an abortion. The 60-year-old senior pastor of Jesus Light of Your Life Church in Njiru was, according to police, arrested at a popular prayer mountain in Katoloni, Machakos and charged in court with incest. A police statement reveals that Kyengo started defiling his daughter in 2012 when she was in class eight. He allegedly approached her claiming “the Holy Spirit” had revealed to him that she was sleeping with unknown men and that he needed to confirm it. He then allegedly defiled her that first time and continued for two years, threatening her with death if she revealed their little secret to anyone. The daughter would only speak on March 25 after discovering she was pregnant. The fully-packed court heard that the preacher advised his daughter to get abortion tablets from a friend. Luckily, the friend she approached leaked the information to the public and went for the pastor’s neck but he went into hiding for four months, until May 30.

Moja ya sababu za msingi kutuweka pamoja waimbaji na wanamuziki wa injili, ili tuwe na sauti moja katika kutetea na kusimamia haki za waimbaji/wanamuziki na kila anayehusika na muziki wa injili nchini na pia ni agizo la serikali kwamba, waliona kwa sababu muziki wa injili unauzwa dukani kama miziki mingine kwa hiyo kitu chochote kikishauzwa dukani lazima kiwe na sheria zake na kikishakuwa na sheria zake lazima kiwe na haki na wale wanaofanya zile kazi wawezekujua faida zake na wawezekufaidika na zile kazi zao

Pia ni kwamba baada ya kuona sanaa ya muziki inakua kwa kasi hivyo ikaonekana kuna umuhimu wa kuwepo na shirikisho la muziki Tanzania kama vile ilivyo shirikisho la mpira (TFF). Hivyo basi shirikisho hilo lianundwa na vyama vilivyosajiliwa. Najua vipo vikundi vingi vinavyounda umoja wa waimbaji kutoka makundi ya aina fulani ya muziki, lakini ukweli ni kwamba, vyama vya muziki vinavyotambuliwa na serikali ni vile vilivyosajiliwa kihalali na kupewa kibali kupitia Basata (Baraza la sanaa la taifa), na moja kati ya vyama vyenye kibali cha serikali ni chama cha muziki wa Injili Tanzania (CHAMUITA) chenye usajili: BST 4598  .  Najua waimbaji wa injili nchini wakiwemo wanamuziki, maproducer na wapenzi wa nyimbo za injili wanaweza kuwa na maswali mengi kuhusu chama hiki, pia kuwepo na hali ya kusitasita kujiunga, lakini huko tunakoelekea kuna watu watajua umuhimu wa kujiunga na chama. Si vibaya kuhoji, lakini ipo katiba inayotambulika na serikali, hivyo basi ni wajibu wa kila mwanachama hai kuwa na nakala ya katiba hiyo.

Ni wito wangu kwa kila mtu anayehusika na muziki wa injili Tanzania, uwe mwimbaji, mwanamuziki, mwinjilisti, mchungaji, producer, Mc na mpenzi wa muziki wa injili, kujiunga na chama na kuwa na kitambulisho chake halali kama mwanachama wa muziki wa injili Tanzania. Lakini pia ikumbukwe jambo peekee alilolisema yesu muda mfupi kabla hajapaa mbinguni, aliagiza upendo. Hivyo sioni sababu ya waimbaji kutokuwa wamoja, kutokupendanda, kuweka matabaka, kutokubebana na kuinuana. Ebu tuamke, tusiishie kuandaa matamasha ya kujipatia pesa, lakini tusimame katika agizo kuu la kuwaleta watu kwa Yesu. Tunaweza kabisa kuandaa mikutano mikubwa ya injili na makongamano, tunaweza kabisa kutenga muda wa kufunga na kuomba pamoja; na huu ndio wakati, tusisubiri kusikia tu habari mbaya za mpendwa mwezetu na kuzishabikia, tumeagizwa upendao!
